This website is a work in progress. I'm continually updating it as I learn more about HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design. Thanks for bearing with me on my journey of learning web development.

About Me

Hello! I'm Garrett Pierce. I'm a photographer, musician, and programmer.

I've been learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the last few months.

Once I'm more comfortable with vanilla JavaScript, I plan to learn Vue, mySQL, and Node.js.

I'm working on a weather website called Useful Weather to learn more about front-end and back-end development.

I'm currently a software engineering student at Arizona State University, with plans to finish in Spring of 2020.

In the future, I'll be sharing some of my projects here. Right now, the only project I have to share is the site you're currently reading.

I create music under the name URSA MAJOR.

I've been playing music for as long as I can remember. I've sang since I was a kid, played guitar for more than a decade, bass for about eight years, and have a working knowledge of piano, banjo, drums, and harmonica. In live situations, I often sing while playing one of those instruments.

I'm working on recording some music I've written over time. I'm hoping to have some material released in 2018.

In addition to everything else I do, I have been a photographer for about a decade. While I have done a few small paid jobs, I'm primarily a hobbyist. I do a fair amount of traveling, and I always have my camera by my side when I travel. The photos above are some of my favorite shots from shooting for publications and on travel. Visit me on Flickr.
